Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-05-05
These Terms of Use govern your relationship with the MedCena website at medcena.lv. Please read them carefully before using our service.
Acceptance of terms
By using medcena.lv, you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Service description
MedCena is an independent price comparison service for medicines and health products in Latvia. We aggregate data from the State Agency of Medicines (ZVA) registry and from publicly available pharmacy e-shop pages, present price comparisons, and direct purchases to the respective pharmacy's website.
We are not a pharmacy
MedCena does not sell, deliver, or dispense medicines or health products. All purchases happen directly on the pharmacy's website, which is fully responsible for the order, delivery, returns, and product quality. MedCena does not provide medical advice or consultations — for those, always consult a doctor or pharmacist.
User obligations
By using our service, you agree to:
- Not use automated tools (bots, scrapers, scripts) to extract data from the site without our written consent
- Not disrupt the site's operation, attempt to bypass security measures, or overload our servers
- Not use the site for false information, fraudulent activity, or unlawful purposes
- If you create an account — keep your login credentials confidential and notify us immediately of any suspicious activity
Intellectual property
The MedCena design, logos, original text, and software are our intellectual property. Medicine registry data from ZVA is public state information. Pharmacy prices and product images belong to the respective pharmacies — we display them as links to the original, without copying or modifying. To use MedCena content, contact us.
Limitation of liability
Information on the site is for reference only and may differ from actual pharmacy prices and availability. MedCena does not guarantee complete data accuracy and is not liable for decisions made based on the site's information. We are not a party to disputes between you and a pharmacy — resolve those directly with the seller.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site, and the new version takes effect on publication. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Latvia. If you are a consumer, you retain the right to file a complaint with the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC).
